Enjoy exclusive events for 80s alumni (denoted below), commemorate 50 years of the student-run Warming House, check out the new Reilly Center banners and Bob Lanier tribute – and join Bona students to cheer on the Bonnies as part of the 49th annual Basketball Homecoming Weekend (full schedule coming soon) and the 12th 80s Weekend!


Friday, February 16

Bona Pride Day – Wear your favorite brown and white, or Bona gear, to show your passion for SBU!

4 to 6 p.m. Bonnies4Bonnies – Join alumni to share your career path with current students and expand their network of support. Francis Hall Great Room.

7:30 p.m. – 80s Weekend Welcome Bash at Four Mile Brewing with Tom Schuh ’84 & the Midnight Kings. Enjoy 80s music, microbrews, drinks and great pub food as alumnus Nick Bohdanowycz ’08 MBA and team roll out the brown and white carpet. 80s alumnus Tom Schuh and Buffalo-based Midnight Kings are back again this year to play hits of our decade. Music sponsored by Rob Buckla, '84, Chris Hofstedt, '83, and Jim Meicke, '87.


Saturday, February 17

9:15 to 10:15 a.m. – Meet up with friends for coffee and conversation at the new Marchiori Pavilion fire pit in front of Devereux Hall. And, then walk as a group to the University Chapel for our 10:30 prayer gathering.

10:30 a.m. to Noon – Memories, Prayer and Thanksgiving facilitated by 80s alumni of all faith traditions to share reflections, prayer and thanksgiving with the Mountain Friars. University Chapel.

1 to 3 p.m. – Pre-Game Reception at the renovated ‘Skeller with game day snacks and cash bar. Your first drink is sponsored by an anonymous alumna.

3:30 p.m. Men’s Basketball game with the Bonnies hosting A10 opponent Davidson College Wildcats. Bob Lanier Court at the Reilly Center. Digital ticket will be provided.

Post-Game Reception for 80s Weekend package registrants.  Hall of Fame Room. Cash Bar.

All Evening – Continue the 80s Weekend opening evening with drink specials at The Burton, hosted by alumni owners Brian Attea ’89, John Flanagan ’89, Kevin Patwell ’88 and David Przesiek ’88. Kitchen will remain open until 9 p.m. for Burton Burgers and more. Stay for last call and “Piano Man.”


Sunday, February 18

8 a.m. Mass - University Chapel (30-minute Mass with grab and go breakfast and coffee to follow)

11 a.m. Mass:

1 p.m. Women’s Basketball Game. Watch the Bonnies with Head Coach Jim Crowley against A10 rival Fordham.
